2 target missions are vastly easier than 3 target missions, because 2 target Eliminate missions actually place 4 target nodes in the area, of which you only have to find 2. Only worth doing if it doesn't leave you short-staffed though - usually I wouldn't have enough troops to just leave some at some base without getting significant penalties, and in those cases it's usually not worth it to leave any behind. The main reason you might want to not do that is if your troops are getting numerous enough to get penalties for camp size (and that sort of thing), not to mention you save both cash and food. I completely agree that it's just as easy to keep the troops and fight instead. Apparently, the battle ends up being much easier though (I guess you let your reinforcements get slaughtered first before you go in to mop up or something?). They do pay rather well, though not as insanely well as the abduct tasks. Sometimes this ends up getting confusing. I think the spoiler is due to the "escort-related issues" that still occur. Generally I'd just avoid both of these, and stick to Eliminate, Escort, and Abduct.Įspecially There-and-Back-Again Escort tasks, that have you travelling to some far-off location and returning to the same place you got the task.
